Steps to reproduce

  1. Add an image attachment to a page
  2. Edit the page in Source/Wiki mode and paste (replace with the correct name of the image): [[~[~[This is a link to xwiki.org~>~>https://www.xwiki.org~]~]>>image:some_image.png]]
  3. Click on Source again to return to WYSIWYG mode and add/modify the captioned content (below the image) in-line
  4. On a new line, click on Image button from the toolbar (WYSIWYG mode)
  5. Upload and Select an image (from Upload tab)
  6. Tick 'Caption'
  7. Click 'Insert'
  8. Click 'Save & View'

Expected results

Starting XWiki 14.1 RC1, the XWiki 2.0 and 2.1 syntax supports captioned images.The syntax is rendered as an image with "Caption content" as caption when the image is alone in a paragraph (e.g. the image syntax is surrounded by blank lines). Also, the caption can be edited directly below the image.
